DIY - 100% Natural Insect Repellent
Upcycle your empty Toning Moisturiser bottles by using them to house homemade insect repellents. It's a win-win. Read more to find out how!
Our DIY recipe for natural insect repellents is a convenient way to repurpose your empty Toning Moisturiser bottles. This is a fantastic way to quickly whip up a homemade agent that keeps insects at bay so you can enjoy the sun outdoors. Conventional insect repellents often contain dubious ingredients that one does not want the body to absorb. Check out our easy-to-make recipe below:
Yields 100 ml:
- 50 ml of witch hazel hydrosol
- 50 ml of distilled water
- 10 drops of citronella oil
- 10 drops of lemongrass oil
- 10 drops of tea tree oil
- 5 drops of lavender oil
- 5 drops of peppermint oil
Pour all the ingredients into the empty spray bottle. Shake well and you're done! We recommend using the ingredients in organic quality. These can be found at your local pharmacy or online at organic cosmetics shops like Ecco Verde.
